About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant II to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. The schedule for this Full time Day shift is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position also includes an on-call rotation for one week each month. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required.
Two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience is required.
Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

HVAC Trade or Vocational Schooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete interior and exterior carpentry work
Maintain utilities for the facility
Maintain HVAC, heat pumps, furnaces, plumbing, and electrical functionality
Record keeping
Hanging dry wall
Clearing snow from walkways
