About The Position
Elanco's 'Earn to Learn' Manufacturing Program offers a unique opportunity for individuals without prior work experience or a 4-year degree to embark on rewarding careers. This program provides apprentices with hands-on experience, formal training at Iowa Central Community College, and personalized mentoring. Upon successful completion, apprentices are prepared for full-time opportunities with Elanco. This nationally registered Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program is designed for recent high school graduates, vocational students, and career changers seeking a future in skilled trades, allowing them to earn an Associate Degree and Technical Certificate while gaining valuable on-the-job experience and competitive wages.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform activities including walking, bending, lifting, and confined space entry
- Ability to work in adverse outdoor conditions
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
- Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance mechanical support on all manufacturing and mechanical equipment within Operations and Utilities.
