About The Position

Elanco's 'Earn to Learn' Manufacturing Program offers a unique opportunity for individuals without prior work experience or a 4-year degree to embark on rewarding careers in skilled trades. This nationally registered Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program provides apprentices with hands-on experience, formal training at Iowa Central Community College, and personalized mentoring. Apprentices will earn an Associate Degree and Technical Certificate in the industrial mechanics field while gaining valuable on-the-job experience and earning competitive wages. This program is ideal for recent high school graduates, vocational students, or individuals seeking a new career path with significant future potential. As a Maintenance Apprentice, you will provide essential mechanical support for all manufacturing and mechanical equipment within Operations and Utilities.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to perform activities including walking, bending, lifting, and confined space entry
Ability to work in adverse outdoor conditions
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance mechanical support on all manufacturing and mechanical equipment within Operations and Utilities.
Gain hands-on experience in industrial mechanics.
