About The Position

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is hiring a Maintenance and Production Supervisor for the third shift. The role leads production employees and maintenance personnel in an assigned area and shift, with accountability for safe operations, environmental compliance, product quality, on-time delivery, cost, equipment reliability, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. The supervisor coordinates production priorities with maintenance resources to reduce unplanned downtime, restore equipment safely, and sustain customer commitments through continuous improvement. The role works with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, Planning, and Human Resources to improve product-line performance, equipment capability, and workforce skills and engagement. The position is based around the transition from Troy, Illinois, to Eaton’s Cable Tray Center of Excellence in Edwardsville, Illinois; the full relocation of operations to the COE is anticipated by 2027. No relocation benefit is offered, and applicants generally must live within 50 miles of Troy or Edwardsville, with an exception for active-duty military service member candidates. The assigned shift is 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with operational emergency response and rotating weekend or off-shift coverage as needed. The expected annual salary range is $71,000 to $105,000, subject to candidate qualifications and business considerations. The supervisor sets manufacturing priorities and oversees daily production, monitoring safety, quality, output, schedule attainment, scrap, rework, and downtime. The role coordinates preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; leads initial response to breakdowns; supports troubleshooting within established qualifications and procedures; and ensures accurate work-order documentation. It also supports equipment reliability, critical-spares planning, contractor and vendor work, operator basic care, quality controls, continuous improvement, equipment installation and startup, shift handoffs, staffing, employee development, and cross-functional coordination.
