Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a leadership/supervisory role
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience required
  • Knowledgeable of Parenteral or Packaging Maintenance operations and processes or other GMP manufacturing experience
  • Formulation, Filling, Device Assembly or Packaging Knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with multiple levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and feedback
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, set objectives and meet targets
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving
  • CMMS experience desired
  • General understanding of PLC, HMI, and networking
  • Understanding of electrical concepts
  • Experience with Device Assembly and Packaging equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Position supports a 24/7 operation and is expected to be flexible in maintaining availability for support in decision making and issue resolution as necessary to operate the facility.
  • Must be willing to work overtime during peak periods (shutdowns, etc.).
  • Must be willing to carry a cell phone and respond to off-hour emergencies when necessary.
  • Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position
  • Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees night-shift maintenance and automation activities, ensuring all team members follow required safety practices and maintain strong housekeeping standards.
  • Responsible for quality compliance with cGMPs and site procedures while managing staffing, performance, and daily operations across multiple shifts.
  • Drives maintenance excellence by ensuring high-quality maintenance execution, training readiness, KPI performance, and alignment with production needs.
  • Reviews work orders, investigates deviations, and leads incident reporting and corrective actions to support reliable 24/7 manufacturing operations.
  • Ensures that all team members are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits and practices.
  • Initiates and leads accident, near miss reviews and incident notifications.
  • Ensures proper housekeeping procedures are maintained.
  • Responsible for team’s compliance and meeting the quality standards as defined by cGMPs, the Global Quality Standards, local procedures
  • Responsible for managing daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, performance management, development planning and reporting of results.
  • Ensuring quality of Maintenance Execution and RFU
  • Responsible for Team Training and Development and ensuring team is current on training prior to assigning work
  • Responsible for Maintenance KPI’s associated with Team’s performance
  • Aligns Team Priorities to Support Production Plan
  • Interfaces with customers to ensure alignment
  • Completing weekly Practice vs Procedure Checks
  • Reviewing a sampling of executed Work Orders
  • Investigates Team deviations as needed
  • Owns incident reporting, investigating, and corrective measures
