About The Position

This is an on-site administrative position providing principal administrative support for ATSUGI, JAPAN. The incumbent works under minimal supervision within established guidelines, interacting extensively with individuals inside and outside the organization. Duties involve receiving, shipping, ordering, and monitoring material and equipment inventory, including PMEL due times, hazmat and parts shelf life, and completing related supply chain documentation. Additional responsibilities include sending daily status reports, answering phones, maintaining training records, scheduling appointments and meetings, and organizing aircraft logs and records.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with computers, including Windows and Office software.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. routinely and 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Typing speed of 30 wpm.
  • U.S. Citizenship (contract requirement).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Screen test.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and to read, speak, write legibly, and understand the English language.
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain an International Driver's License.
  • Capability of driving locally.
  • Minimum of three (3) years documented hands-on general experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year documented hands-on specialized experience in administrative duties.

  • May be required to handle hazardous materials.
  • May be required to assist with aircraft preventative maintenance activities.
  • May be required to qualify for and obtain a DOD "Secret" security clearance (if requested).
  • May be required to obtain a Passport.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site contract administration and support duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service to military and company personnel, and interface with Government Representatives.
  • Conduct administrative and clerical duties including data collection, file maintenance, shipping and receiving, updating logs and records (aircraft, maintenance, training, tool control, inventory), restocking parts/material, mail pickup/delivery, site bill payment, completing maintenance forms, and maintaining the technical publication library.
  • Manage aircraft logbooks and records, demonstrating knowledge of OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series, Volume II, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Navy Instructions, Manufacturer Manuals, and Company Instructions.
  • Monitor PMEL (Calibration Items) due times, hazmat and parts shelf life.
  • Send daily status reports.
  • Answer telephone calls.
  • Maintain training records and schedule training.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Organize aircraft logs and records, and other maintenance-related documents.
