About The Position

CTG is seeking a Mainframe Application Developer for a client in Beaverton, Oregon. This is a 12-month position focused on developing, maintaining, and supporting applications in an IBM Mainframe z/OS environment. The role also provides application, production, and z/OS environment support, including troubleshooting application issues and supporting mainframe databases and transaction processing systems.

Candidates should have hands-on mainframe application development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support experience. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with mainframe application development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support.
• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe z/OS, VSAM, JCL, REXX, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe tools.
• Proficiency in COBOL, PL/1, or Assembler.
• Experience with DB2 or IMS-DB.
• Familiarity with CICS or IMS-DC.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience is also accepted.
