About The Position

The Mailroom Clerk plays an important role in supporting daily business operations by managing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and interoffice correspondence. This position helps ensure timely and accurate mail distribution across departments while maintaining organized mailroom operations and supply tracking. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 0–2 years of prior experience in a mailroom, office support, or administrative role preferred
  • Experience with postage meters or mail sorting equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Sign for incoming registered and certified mail
  • Sort and distribute mail by department, location, or category
  • Stamp and record dates of receipt and sender information
  • Maintain records of incoming packages, including weight, return address, and package details
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including applying postage and verifying addresses
  • Correct and reforward misdirected mail
  • Coordinate express or special deliveries when needed
  • Distribute mail and packages to employees and departments throughout the office
  • Monitor and maintain mailroom supply inventory, including stamps, envelopes, and labels
  • Support general mailroom operations and assist with additional tasks as assigned
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable onsite attendance
