Exercise your skill set to process computer generated mail output on various automated Bell & Howell mail inserting machines. We look forward to working with you! This position focuses on operating automated mailing equipment and preparing a wide range of printed materials for distribution. Through your work, you will support accurate processing, quality control, and safe handling of mail items.

Requirements

  • One year as a Mail Production Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • One year of clerical experience
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated inserting equipment and set up machines for daily processing
  • Load forms, envelopes, and inserts and verify that materials match production requirements
  • Check completed mail pieces for accuracy and prepare them for trays or transport
  • Make small adjustments and repairs to keep equipment running smoothly
  • Use scales, metering equipment, and folding machines to prepare items for mailing
  • Assist with hand enclosing, packaging, and movement of mail within processing areas
