About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation is seeking a mail delivery driver/mail carrier for a United States Postal Service mail route in Lecanto, Florida. The route starts on 11/22/2026. This is a Sunday-only route, with work estimated from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (up to about eight hours). The route covers approximately 25 delivery miles, with about 50 miles driven per day. The contractor provides their own qualifying vehicle. Compensation is $240 per day as a 1099 contractor, paid monthly.

Requirements

• Have legal documentation to work in the United States.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Reside in Lecanto, Florida, or a neighboring town or city.
• Provide a qualifying minivan or cargo van that is less than five years old and has at least 150 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
• Carry minimum liability insurance.
• Provide your own vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Former USPS employees or contractors are highly recommended.
• A minivan or cargo van with at least 150 cubic feet of cargo space and no center console is recommended for passenger-side mailbox delivery; the route may be difficult without these features but is still possible.
• Be available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes.
• Load mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.
• Deliver mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line of travel.
• Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other required administrative duties.
