The purpose of the Mail Clerk job is to receive and deliver mail and air freight packages in a timely manner to Maritz employees and tenants. They also have the ability to operate a postage meter and drive a company van.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic typing and computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company delivery vehicle.
  • Ability to walk long distances across the Maritz campus, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Strong customer service skills and a reliable, team‑oriented approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and deliver incoming mail by department and/or employee to ensure timely distribution.
  • Sort and deliver interdepartmental mail across the Maritz campus and pick up outgoing departmental mail.
  • Weigh, process, and prepare outgoing mail for delivery.
  • Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, copy machines, and mail folding/inserting machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of mail receipt, mailing dates, and required documentation.
  • Stock and manage mailroom supplies to support daily operations.
  • Drive a company delivery van/vehicle as needed to complete mail distribution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including lifting packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
