About The Position

The Mail Clerk position is part of PNC's Retail Bank Operations organization, based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role performs mailroom and reproduction services tasks, including distributing and collecting incoming mail, processing outgoing mail, determining and affixing postage, tracking mail volume, verifying received goods, and maintaining mailroom equipment and supplies. The role also involves data entry for volume tracking, scanning accountable mail items, and delivering mail throughout Pittsburgh facilities. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and push/pull mail carts. Backup support at other Pittsburgh locations and responding to phone calls are also part of the responsibilities. PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to travel to P1, P2, P3 and the Tower.
  • Prior experience is not required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enters data into daily volume tracking sheets.
  • Sorts incoming and accountable mail, scans accountable items, and delivers mail to designated floors and recipients throughout the Pittsburgh facilities in accordance with established SLAs.
  • Conducts stale mail audits.
  • Pushes and pulls mail carts throughout the facility as required.
  • Provides backup support at the other Pittsburgh locations as needed.
  • Responds to and appropriately routes incoming phone calls.
  • Performs mailroom and reproduction services tasks within a division or physical location.
  • Distributes and collects incoming mail and processes outgoing mail.
  • Determines, affixes, and records postage on registered mail and packages.
  • Tracks volume and distribution of mail for reporting purposes.
  • Verifies quantity of received goods against invoices.
  • Keeps mailroom equipment and supplies in good condition and reports when something needs repair or replacement.
