About The Position

This role involves troubleshooting and repairing hardware and process failures for various tool sets including Ulvac, Gasonics, Mattson, Fusion Gemini, AMAT (MxP, MxP+, IPS, DPS, Super E & 5200’s) & LAM (4400 & Coronus) Dry Etch tools. The position requires performing preventive maintenance, utilizing SPC charts and FabGuard Fault Detection software for tool performance evaluation, and documenting maintenance activities. The machinist will also maintain spare parts inventory and contribute to the success of the area. Key challenges include troubleshooting complex hardware and process issues, using data to resolve equipment and process problems, and managing multiple equipment downs with shifting priorities. The role also involves assisting Equipment Engineers with upgrades and improvements, working with process technicians on recoveries and qualifications, and coordinating equipment downtime with Manufacturing Leads.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree (or higher) in an engineering or science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of NXP (or affiliate) experience may qualify in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge/experience with Ulvac, Gasonics, Mattson, Fusion Gemini, AMAT (MxP, MxP+, IPS, DPS, Super E & 5200’s) & LAM (4400 & Coronus) Dry Etch tools.
• Experience with advanced electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair and operation of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Must be able to read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams.
• Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
• Analytical problem solving and testing skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all hardware and process failures for Ulvac, Gasonics, Mattson, Fusion Gemini, AMAT (MxP, MxP+, IPS, DPS, Super E & 5200’s) & LAM (4400 & Coronus) Dry Etch tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities following standardized work documents.
• Use SPC charts and FabGuard Fault Detection (FDC) software to evaluate tool performance.
• Document maintenance activities and assist in improving standardized work documents for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and various other activities related to the success of the area.
• Interact with multiple disciplines in a 7x24 manufacturing facility.
• Assist Equipment Engineers with equipment upgrades, improvements and long down troubleshooting.
• Work with process technicians on wafer recoveries and post maintenance qualification tasks.
• Coordinate equipment down time with Manufacturing Leads.
