About The Position

The Machinist sets up and operates CNC equipment to manufacture and repair critical aerospace components. This hands-on role emphasizes precision, quality, attention to detail, and safety. The position is primarily Monday through Friday, from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with schedule flexibility required; days and hours may vary based on business needs, including weekends. A shift differential of $2–$4 per hour applies based on assigned workdays, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

CNC machining experience, preferably in aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools.
Strong math, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

Manual machining or component repair experience.
CNC program editing experience.
Trade school, technical training, or related certifications.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders.
Manufacture and repair precision aerospace components to tight tolerances.
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials.
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Adjust tooling, feeds, and speeds as needed to maintain quality standards.
Complete required inspection and production documentation.
Perform routine machine maintenance and operate overhead cranes as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
