About The Position

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This position is for the Day Shift, Monday through Friday, from 4 am to 12:30 pm. The Machinist is responsible for setting up and running repeat or proven parts of simple to high complexity with minimal direction. This role involves utilizing shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and handling non-conformance activities. The machinist will read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications, set up, and run all facets of assigned work. Additionally, the position requires providing technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience
Practical knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
Basic to intermediate tool probe
Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines
Understand 5 axis machining concepts

Responsibilities
