Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Experience in a precision prototype manufacturing environment.
  • Basic operation of computers.
  • Solid GD&T understanding.
  • Programming experience using Mastercam is required. We are currently using 2026 release.
  • Must be self-managed and driven to achieve quality product.
  • Must be able to effectively participate in a team environment with members from all disciplines.
  • Good communication skills to maintain a positive working tandem.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 years or more related experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • High understanding of GD&T.
  • Mastercam advanced simultaneous programming experience sought for optimal machine utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Program, setup and run a DMG DMU 75 5-axis mill to machine precision prototype spaceflight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Mastercam programming, setups daily on precision prototype parts from solid models in a variety of metals.
  • Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and basic gaging. Ensure traceability of the work completed by AS9100 standards.
  • Monday – Friday schedule 2nd shift hours are 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM or optional Monday - Thursday 2nd shift hours are 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in team environment and to work independently or with little supervision. There will be half an hour’s hand-off between shifts for guidance.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
