Machinist III - Large Case DMG 160 - 2nd Shift

About The Position

This position operates a DMG 160 5-axis mill/turn machine with vertical and horizontal machining capabilities. The machine features a 55” vertical turning table with indexing, a 2-pallet system, and a Celos Siemens CNC control with a Capto C10 183 pocket tool changer. The operator will machine medium to large size casing components and housings and will perform hydrostatic testing while the machine is in operation.

Requirements

• Use of mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables; various types of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret basic technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. May, in rare occasions lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
