About The Position

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build-to-print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This position is for the Weekend Day Shift, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm. As a CNC Lathe Machinist 2, you will be responsible for setting up and running repeat or proven parts of simple to high complexity with minimal direction. This includes utilizing shop paper procedures, DNC communications for uploading/downloading tool programs, inspecting and measuring parts for statistical maintenance, and reading blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience
Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

Set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
Utilize shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities.
Perform DNC communications upload and download tool program.
Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistic.
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
