Machinist, Lathe 2 - Weekend Day Shift

About The Position

As a CNC Lathe Machinist 2, set up and operate repeat or proven parts ranging from simple to highly complex with minimal direction from an area Lead or Supervisor. Use shop paperwork and procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps; count and label quantities; and complete non-conformance-related activities. Handle DNC communications to upload and download tool programs. Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistics, and read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience.
Knowledge of CNC programming and G and M code.
Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices.
Demonstrated ability to operate computer numerical control machines.

Nice To Haves

Enrollment in vocational education or completion of vocational education.
Four years of formal apprenticeship.
