About The Position

UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Machine Technician to set up and maintain machines according to production demands. The role provides on-the-floor support for cGMP operations and requires work areas and job functions to be maintained and performed safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, cGMPs, and SOPs. The position includes on-the-job training and ongoing cross-training across departments, with opportunities for career growth. The company offers a standard five-day work week with two days off, a variety of shifts, and up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Ability to follow directions and pay attention to assignment details.
Detail-oriented.
Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of machining tools such as lathes and drill presses.
Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred.
Two years of vocational school or five years of relevant experience in a related trade preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide on-the-floor support for cGMP operations, ensuring work areas are maintained and job functions are performed safely and efficiently according to company policies, cGMPs, and SOPs.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machines as required.
Repair and modify equipment as needed.
Tear down and clean machines according to SOPs and production requirements.
Perform scheduled maintenance on machines, accessories, and auxiliary equipment.
Complete all required paperwork fully and accurately.
Perform tasks such as changing foil and removing waste rolls and skids from suites when required.
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with SOP requirements.
Perform other duties as described by leadership.
