About The Position

The Machine Operator operates the XPack machine in the Production department and reports to Plant Supervisory Staff. The role is responsible for safely starting and operating XPack equipment, inspecting finished pieces for conformity to customer production standards, adjusting controls to maintain production standards, completing assigned preventative maintenance and minor repairs, and recording quality and production metrics. The operator performs work with a safety-first mentality and uses 5S skills. Other related tasks may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including AS400, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds.
• Use of hearing protection and eye protection in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Safely start and operate XPack equipment, including starting the machine, engaging the feed, and observing the operation of the area.
• Inspect and measure completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
• Monitor and adjust controls to ensure products comply with production standards.
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs as required.
• Record quality and production metrics using written communication methods and within required deadlines.
• Perform work with a safety-first mentality and utilize 5S skills.
• Perform related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
