About The Position

DwyerOmega is seeking experienced Machine Operators for our Wire/Respool and Connection/Automation production areas. These positions operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, inspect products, complete production records, and support safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of machine-operation experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand tools.
• Basic math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to stand and work around machinery for extended periods.
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to support others.
• Knowledge of wire, metal types, calibration, and color codes.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted and handle up to 100 lbs. with a lifting device.
• Ability to train on 1st shift for 6 months and transition to 3rd shift.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with automation equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates wire-processing equipment, including respool, taping, wrapping, braiding, NEB, and Wardwell machines.
• Read work orders and set up wire-processing equipment.
• Adjust speed, tension, wire length, and spool size.
• Load and thread wire reels using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Inspect wire and verify sizes using micrometers and Acromag equipment.
• Identify defects and complete production records and finished-goods tags.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow safety, quality, 5S, and Lean procedures.
• Assist with training entry-level operators after 6 months of service.
• Train on additional equipment to prepare for advancement to Machine Operator II.
• Operates automated equipment used to manufacture components and finished products.
• Set up and operate automation equipment.
• Prepare materials for production.
• Inspect products using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and torque testers.
• Record inspection and production data.
• Perform equipment adjustments, minor repairs, and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues to reduce downtime.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
