Machine Operator
About The Position
Closets by Design is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator to join its growing team. The company designs, manufactures, and installs custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall beds, garage cabinetry, and other home organizing systems. The role involves operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, understanding product lines and production standards, following quality and safety practices, and maintaining shop equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend work and no required overtime. Starting pay is $20 per hour. Tools and equipment are provided.
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making, preferably with 32mm systems.
- Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
- Follow quality and safety standards.
- Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
- Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
- Complete additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.
