About The Position

Millat Industries is seeking Machine Operators for its production department at a family-owned precision machining company. Operators learn industrial math, print reading, machining theory, and department-specific skills under the guidance of a Trainer or Team Leader. The role involves loading raw material into machines, unloading finished products, basic deburring, following router operation sequences, and learning safe operation of lathes and milling machines. The position starts through a staffing agency for the first 90 days and offers approximately 40 hours per week across first, second, or third shift. Pay is $19.00 per hour, with a 10% increase for second- or third-shift work.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Dependable and flexible, with a good attendance record.
Detail-oriented with a good work ethic.
Able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
Able to exert between 10 and 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

Learn industrial math, print reading, and machining theory related to the assigned department.
Learn department-specific skills under the guidance of a Trainer or Team Leader.
Load raw material into machines and unload finished products.
Perform basic deburring on products.
Learn to use and read micrometers and calipers.
Learn safety basics, sawing, drilling, materials, turning, and speeds and feeds.
Learn and receive practical experience in the safe operation of lathes and milling machines in the assigned department.
Follow the sequence of operation on the router.
Communicate with co-workers and team leaders to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
Adhere to company safety policies.
