About The Position

Millat Industries is seeking Machine Operators for its production department. This role involves learning industrial math, print reading, machining theory, safety, and department-specific skills under the guidance of a Trainer or Team Leader. Operators load raw material into machines, unload finished products, perform basic deburring, use micrometers and calipers, follow router sequences, and gain practical experience operating lathes and milling machines. The position is approximately 40 hours per week, with openings across first, second, and third shifts. The position starts through a staffing agency for the first 90 days.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Dependable and flexible, with a good attendance record.
• Detail-oriented with a good work ethic.
• Able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
• Able to exert between 10 and 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must adhere to company safety policies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn industrial math, print reading, and machining theory related to the assigned department.
• Learn department-specific skills under the guidance of a Trainer or Team Leader.
• Load raw material into machines and unload finished products.
• Perform basic deburring on products.
• Use and read micrometers and calipers.
• Learn the basics of safety, sawing, drilling, materials, turning, and speeds and feeds.
• Learn safe operation of lathes and milling machines and gain practical experience with them in the assigned department.
• Follow the sequence of operation on the router.
• Communicate with co-workers and team leaders to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
