About The Position

The Machine Operator, also identified as a Cutting Table Operator, operates a controlled cutting table and loading crane to process large sheets of glass into smaller specified sizes. The operator inspects products, performs quality-control procedures, labels and tags products, reports inventory, and rotates among different job functions. The schedule is subject to change depending on the cutting schedule. The position is located at 660 Campbell Ct., Lithia Springs, GA 30122. Benefits begin on day one, and employees may earn quarterly safety bonuses and additional pay through a monthly production incentive compensation program based on individual and team performance.

Requirements

• Three years of previous work experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• One year of previous experience operating production machines.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements.
• Ability to use a tape measure and calipers to perform basic dimensional inspections.

Nice To Haves

• Glass industry experience.
• Experience using overhead cranes to move heavy loads.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate a controlled cutting table and loading crane.
• Break apart pre-cut large sheets of glass into smaller specified sizes.
• Inspect, approve, or reject products before they are sent to the next department.
• Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to products.
• Perform and document required quality-control procedures.
• Report inventory to production control.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
