About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania location, reporting to the Packing Room Supervisor and receiving day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The role operates packing-room machines to meet production standards and specified efficiency targets. Equipment includes Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, a stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.

The operator reviews production sheets to anticipate changeovers and determine which products will be assigned to machines, then prepares the necessary film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other materials for the next order. The role also monitors machine operation, detects malfunctions, inspects products for pleats, leaks, holes, registration, and code dates, keeps bag waste within specified limits, and completes weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience is a plus.
