About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania location and reports to the Packing Room Supervisor, with day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The role operates packing room equipment to meet production standards, prepares for upcoming production orders and changeovers, monitors product quality, and performs weight checks on packing lines.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing room machines at specified speeds and efficiency to meet production standards. Equipment includes Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.
• Review production sheets to anticipate changeovers and identify products assigned to machines.
• Prepare the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other supplies for upcoming orders.
• Observe machine operations, detect malfunctions, and inspect products for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code dates to maintain specifications and bag waste limits.
• Complete weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
