About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania location, reporting to the Packing Room Supervisor and taking day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The role operates packing-room equipment to meet production standards and specified efficiency levels. It also involves preparing for upcoming production orders, monitoring equipment and product quality, and completing weight checks to ensure product specifications are met.

This is a full-time, permanent position on the D shift, a rotating overnight schedule. Week 1 is Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; Week 2 is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The hourly rate is $26.75, including shift differential pay.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing-room machines at specified efficiency levels, including Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.
• Review production sheets to anticipate changeovers and determine which products will be assigned to machines.
• Prepare the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other materials for upcoming orders.
• Observe machine operations, detect malfunctions, and inspect product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code dates to stay within specified bag-waste limits.
• Complete weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
