About The Position

TreeHouse Foods is hiring a full-time, permanent Machine Operator for its Hanover, Pennsylvania location. The position reports to the Packing Room Supervisor and takes day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The operator runs packing room machines to meet production standards, prepares for upcoming product and order changeovers, monitors product quality and machine operation, and completes weight checks on packing lines. The role works on D shift, a rotating overnight schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Week 1 is Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Week 2 is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. The hourly rate is $26.75, including shift differential pay.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate packing room machines at specified efficiency and speed to meet production standards.
Operate packing room equipment, including Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.
Review production sheets to anticipate changeovers and determine assigned products and machine needs.
Prepare the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other materials for the next order.
Observe operations, detect malfunctions, and inspect products for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates, keeping bag waste within specified limits.
Complete weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
