About The Position

Evolve Recycling is looking for a full-time permanent Rasper Machine Operator to work in their tire recycling facility in Brantford, ON. Evolve Recycling is Canada's leader in tire recycling, turning used tires into usable products such as multi-purpose matting, artificial sports surfaces, and other innovative products. This role offers meaningful employment with opportunities for skill growth and a company focus on employee experience and training. The shift is a continental night shift from 7pm to 7am, with a wage of $23/hr.

Requirements

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
Excellent attendance & punctuality
Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset

Responsibilities

Start-up and shutdown of machines
Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly)
Monitor belts to ensure no jams, stoppages, and overall performance of machine
Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material (metal, wood, debris, etc.)
Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Assist other operators when required
