About The Position

The Machine Operator (Nights) is responsible for responding to production problems and taking appropriate corrective action, including making necessary mechanical adjustments. This role involves completing required paperwork and quality tasks, operating other packaging machines by stocking supplies for semi-automated equipment based on the production schedule, and maintaining the work area and equipment according to the highest GMP’s, SOP’s, and safety standards. The position requires being a positive team member with an emphasis on teamwork spanning all work shifts, continually striving for improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. The operator will work with minimum supervision, must be responsible and able to initiate appropriate work activities in a timely manner, and is responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiating action as necessary. This role requires adherence to all Food Safety guidelines, including GMP’s, Allergen Program, Quality, Sanitation, Safety, and SQF.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude/skills
  • Ability to lift 15-50 pounds throughout the day.
  • Ability to be on your feet for shift
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, averaging and percentages)
  • Must be quality and customer service oriented
  • Ability to meet attendance guidelines and work additional hours/OT as needed
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
