About The Position

Provides continuous machine support by continuously monitoring primary and secondary equipment for uptime efficiency and equipment safety. Resolves ongoing machine related problems such as full bowls, closing machine restarts, grinder jams, color changes, and purge removal from nozzle leaks. Performs beginner-level preventative maintenance tasks like repairing conveyors, clearing material jams, and cleaning filters. Performs material changeovers including color and additive changes. Supplies materials to the presses. Machine Operators Level 2 are not authorized to perform start up after a set up. Restarts Injection Machines for mold protects and performs intermediate troubleshooting. Assesses beyond mold protect for root cause. Fixes minor cosmetic issues like burns and string flash. Maintains proper documentation for all materials and machines, including line clearances, color changes, and production requirements changes. Totals scrap at the end of the shift and performs 2-hour quality checks. Supports and maintains all company policies including ISO/SQF Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and Standard work procedures.

Requirements

Intermediate troubleshooting skills.
Ability to assess beyond mold protect for root cause.
Ability to fix minor cosmetic issues (burns, string flash).
Ability to maintain proper documentation for all materials and machines.
Ability to perform line clearances.
Ability to perform color changes.
Ability to manage production requirements changes.
Ability to total scrap at the end of the shift.
Ability to perform 2-hour quality checks.

Understands MEEF impact to effectively communicate to Production Supervisor repetitive breakdowns.
Resolves ongoing machine related problems (full bowls, closing machine restarts, grinder jams and color changes, purge removal from nozzle leaks).
Performs beginner-level preventative maintenance tasks (repairing conveyor, material jam, cleaning filters).
Performs material changeovers (ie, color changes, additives, etc.)
Supply materials to the presses.
