About The Position

This position is for 3rd shift: Monday - Friday with some Saturdays, 11:30pm-8:00am. The role is responsible for safe part handling, mold operations as directed, post mold operations and secondary operations to produce a quality part. The work is performed in an office and manufacturing plant environment. The employee must have normal mobility to move around an office environment and be able to conduct a normal amount of work at a computer. The plant environment has frequently varying temperatures depending upon external weather conditions. The role requires frequent walking, standing, gripping/grasping, bending/stooping, crouching, and lifting and carrying up to fifty-five (55) pounds routinely throughout the day. This role is required to be on-site 5-6 days at the Clinton Twp, MI location.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 3rd shift: Monday - Friday with some Saturdays, 11:30pm-8:00am.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds routinely.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, grip/grasp, bend/stoop, and crouch.

Nice To Haves

  • Plastic Injection Machine Operator experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and communicate the purpose, principles, and vision of Omega Plastics.
  • Remove parts from process.
  • Ensure part quality with attention to detail during part production or secondary work.
  • Receive training and follow operator instructions during molding or assembly.
  • Communicate when a part does not match approved sample.
  • Install preloads or other items as necessary for the molding process.
  • Trim or assemble or otherwise prepare parts to specification.
  • Package parts in the correct fashion and to the correct count.
  • Record job specifics and scrap totals on tally sheets.
  • Utilize computer for time recording and job assignment accounting.
  • Clean work area.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and customer requirements as it pertains to Omega’s clients, especially for Omega’s medical clients (ref. ISO13485).
