About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator for our 3rd shift, working from 10 PM to 6 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning. Some overtime may be required. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $19 plus a $1.50 shift differential, along with great benefits and a positive work environment. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery to produce finished goods, ensuring efficiency and quality, and performing various manufacturing tasks to maintain a steady workflow. This includes equipment adjustments, mounting tooling, performing quality checks, maintaining documentation, optimizing machine setup and run times, troubleshooting issues, ensuring equipment maintenance, performing thorough cleanups, identifying damaged tooling, reporting product safety concerns, and maintaining production reports. Other duties may be assigned by plant leadership.

Requirements

  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Bending, lifting, twisting on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with material handlers, other employees and managers as needed.
  • Attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Ability to clearly differentiate colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting on a multi-color flexographic press is preferred.
  • Basic Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery to produce finished goods.
  • Maintain efficiency and quality in their area of responsibility.
  • Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment to ensure steady workflow.
  • Perform equipment adjustments, including mounting cutting dies, print plates, and other required tooling.
  • Perform quality checks prior to each job and during production runs.
  • Maintain documented checklists for quality checks, ink monitoring, and cleanup.
  • Keep machine setup and run times at maximum efficiency.
  • Help troubleshoot quality or machine issues as they occur.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and notify Maintenance and Supervisors of any issues.
  • Perform daily and detailed weekly cleanup according to the cleanup checklist.
  • Identify and report any damaged tooling that needs repair.
  • Identify product safety concerns and report them to the supervisor.
  • Maintain proper production reporting.
  • Perform other duties as determined by Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor or Shift Lead.
