About The Position
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products through the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed probationary period.
- Must have excellent attendance record (6 points or less) and maintain 9 points or less.
- Excellent Safety record, must not have a disciplinary action resulting in Suspension in the last 12 months.
- Willing to work overtime and weekends/holidays if required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Operates automated equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs set-up, troubleshoot, and teardown of assigned equipment.
- Programs equipment to accommodate various methods.
- Responsible for the KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) associated with the equipment: throughput, efficient operation of the equipment while maintaining reduced equipment downtime, yield, quality, etc.
- Performs lock out tag out procedures.
- Reads and understands the computer screen and selects the correct options to safety run the machine.
- Continually operates the machine throughout the entire work shift at full production rates.
- Lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries up to 40 lbs.
- Performs all other tasks as deemed necessary to support the production goals.
