Machine Operator - 1st and 3rd Shift - kdc/one Columbus
About The Position
KDC/one Columbus is hiring a full-time Machine Operator for a Monday–Friday schedule. The operator helps produce beauty and personal care products by keeping production equipment operating safely and smoothly. The role includes basic equipment adjustments and troubleshooting, clean-outs and changeovers, production record entry, quality monitoring, and maintaining an organized work area. Operators also support and train teammates and may step in for the Line Lead when needed. The position offers a starting pay rate of $18.00–$19.50 per hour and opportunities for advancement, including to Line Lead roles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Two or more years of manufacturing, production, or hands-on experience is a plus.
- Comfort using a computer for basic data entry and tracking.
- Mechanical inclination and enjoyment of fixing, adjusting, or troubleshooting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a team-first mindset.
- Ability to follow work instructions and GMP standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working around active machinery and wearing PPE.

Responsibilities
- Keep equipment running smoothly through basic adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Perform clean-outs, changeovers, and rinses between production runs.
- Enter product details and complete basic records in the system.
- Work with maintenance on preventative tasks and equipment care.
- Monitor batches for quality, correct labeling, and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support and train teammates, and step in for the Line Lead when needed.
