About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Northlake, Texas location in Production Operations. This full-time, permanent role operates and monitors packaging machinery, making adjustments to support optimal machine performance and product quality. The operator inspects and records quality checks in a computer database, ensures packaging output meets order-specific specifications, and performs sanitation, lubrication, troubleshooting, minor mechanical adjustments, and preventive maintenance as needed. The role also follows work order schedules, coffee blending matrices, and coffee transport protocols, and ensures product labels are complete and accurate. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of machine operator experience.
• Knowledge of tools, machines, and safety precautions in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to use knowledge, creativity, and initiative to recommend or implement improvements in work-area efficiency or safety.
• Critical-thinking ability and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust equipment for optimal operation.
• Make machine adjustments or repairs, including opening valves; changing formers and sealing jaw knives; setting guides and temperature controls; and adjusting nitrogen/oxygen fill ratios.
• Inspect and record quality checks in the computer database and align machine packaging output with quality specifications for each order.
• Perform necessary quality checks to ensure quality standards are met.
• Lubricate and sanitize equipment, troubleshoot issues, make minor mechanical adjustments, and perform preventive maintenance on the packaging line as needed.
• Follow work order schedules, the coffee blending matrix, and coffee transport procedures and company protocols.
• Ensure product labeling is correct and label data is complete and accurate.
