Machine Operator Entry 3rd Shift
About The Position
At ABB, the Machine Operator operates process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product, on time and to required quality standards. The role carries out assigned tasks using agreed workflows and ABB standard processes and safety guidelines, reports non-compliance, and operates machines according to operating manuals, work schedules, and production orders. This onsite position contributes to the ABB busway plant in Selmer, Tennessee, and reports to the Production Manager. The role includes routine machinery setup and adjustments, simple repairs and replacement-part fitting, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and tracking production quality and output.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.

- Two years of manufacturing, industrial, or machine operation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts.
- Complete assigned tasks according to agreed workflows, ABB standard processes, and safety guidelines; report non-compliance.
- Operate machines according to operating manuals, work schedules, and production order instructions.
- Perform routine machinery setup and adjustments, and repair machinery or fit simple replacement parts.
- Conduct standard equipment maintenance, tool setup, programming activities, and troubleshooting; report issues.
- Maintain detailed records of machinery setups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Track approved units, defective units, and final products.
