About The Position

As a machine operator, you will support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and outbound shipments. The role primarily assists with packaging product for internal and external use and supports changeovers with other production teammates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to be on your feet for up to 8–12 hours per shift.
• Use of hands and fingers to perform job functions.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely.
• Safely operate machines to produce product properly and follow procedures for packaging products for external customers.
• Remove or shift materials and finished products to facilitate proper flow.
• Meet production standards for assigned tasks within the required time.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in the assigned space.
• Maintain safety and quality throughout production.
• Clean equipment and the work area before, during, and after the shift.
• Follow sorting and restacking instructions from the quality department.
• Assist with changeovers when requested by a supervisor or front-end operator.
• Perform other duties as required by a supervisor or manager.
