About The Position

Alentra, a medical-focused company specializing in precision injection molding, automation, assembly, and packaging solutions for the healthcare and life sciences industries, is seeking a Machine Operator to support its production team on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The operator operates machinery and finishes, inspects, assembles, and packages plastic products. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 6 months of work experience.
Ability to read and understand basic instructions and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Frequent mental and visual concentration while waiting for machine cycles and inspecting parts.
Close, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
Constant attention to preventing injury to oneself and coworkers and damage to equipment.
Ability to stand, repeatedly reach and twist, and move hands throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Responsibilities

Read and understand operator work instructions and sample boards displaying actual samples.
Operate equipment according to instructions and ensure the safe operation of assigned equipment.
Use hand cutting tools such as cutters, Exacto knives, and de-gating knives.
Maintain and report production counts.
Visually inspect parts for defects and assemble components to molded parts.
Package and label parts correctly.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Communicate with the lead person about quality issues, work instructions, production counts and discrepancies, supplies, shortages, production requirements, unsafe conditions, and equipment problems.
Inform the relieving shift operator about changes, quality problems, and other relevant matters.
