1st Shift Machine Operator (Assistant Cutter)

About The Position

Alleguard is seeking a Machine Operator (Assistant Cutter) to work directly under the Floor Supervisor and gain first-hand knowledge of EPS manufacturing processes. The role operates hot wire cutting lines, supports efficient production workflow, and follows company policies and safety procedures. The position pays $16 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours may change based on production needs, so flexibility is required. The role involves moving between production lines as needed, driving the line, tracking block numbers, and stretch wrapping or palletizing bundles. The work may involve intense physical exertion, extended periods of standing, bending, and stretching, and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity, including brief periods in a high-temperature environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to stand, bend, and stretch for extended periods during a normal work shift.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to perform duties in a high-temperature environment of 150–170°F for short periods, typically less than five minutes.

Responsibilities

Operate hot wire cutting lines with an efficient, consistent workflow while following company policies and safety procedures.
Stretch wrap bundles and palletize as needed.
Track block numbers.
Use tape measures and rulers.
Adapt to changes, including moving from one production line to another.
Drive the line.
