About The Position

The Machine Operator works at TreeHouse Foods’ Hanover, Pennsylvania location and reports to the Packing Room Supervisor, taking day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. The role operates packing-room equipment to meet production standards and helps prepare for upcoming production orders and changeovers. The operator monitors equipment and product quality, inspects products against specifications, and completes weight checks on packing lines. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions and process documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing-room machines at specified efficiency and speed, including Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers, and sonic sensors.
• Review production sheets to anticipate upcoming production needs, changeovers, and products assigned to machines.
• Prepare the correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, and other items for the next order.
• Observe operations, detect malfunctions, and inspect products for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to maintain specifications and stay within specified bag-waste limits.
• Complete weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
