About The Position

The Machine Operator sets up and safely operates high-speed production equipment to manufacture corrugated boxes according to production specifications. The role involves setting up print and die-cut sections, inspecting product quality, monitoring machine performance, handling minor troubleshooting, and helping the team operate the press line efficiently. The operator also supports training and cross-training, completes production, quality, and safety reports, submits maintenance requests, and follows safety and housekeeping practices.

Requirements

Strong record of dependability and punctuality.
Ability to work well with a team and follow instructions.
Ability to listen to, follow, and relay written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Ability to apply basic high school math, including measurements and percentages.
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
Flexibility with scheduling, including potential overtime and weekends.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a corrugated packaging or similar manufacturing environment.
At least six months of experience as an Assistant Machine Operator.

Responsibilities

Set up print and die-cut sections of die cutters according to proper setup techniques.
Operate assigned equipment to the best of their ability.
Train and assist the Assistant Machine Operator and Machine Helper.
Cross-train on additional machines and support other areas as needed.
Complete production, quality, and safety reports accurately and on time.
Submit maintenance requests and proactively maintain equipment.
Adhere to the production schedule and suggest improvements.
Report scheduling issues to the Supervisor.
Follow safety policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices.
Wear required PPE and participate in safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
