About The Position

Swagelok is hiring a Level III Machine Operator to produce fluid-system components that meet high quality standards. The role is suited to an experienced machinist who can work independently, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and perform machine changeovers while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity. Operators receive training and exposure to a variety of machines in a clean, safe, modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment, with the necessary tools and gauges provided. The position follows a 24/7 day-shift schedule, listed as 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). Pay is $24.50–$34.30 per hour, with overtime compensation and a 10% shift differential when working an off-shift. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is payable after the first 30 days worked, provided the employee remains actively employed at payout. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 30 months of machining or manufacturing experience, or current qualification as a Swagelok Level II Machine Operator.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and metal-cutting equipment.
Experience with machine setup, blueprint reading, and basic programming.
Ability to troubleshoot machining equipment.
Knowledge of machining tools, including form tools, shave tools, drills, reamers, thread rolling, cams, and gears.
Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to independently diagnose and resolve machining issues.
Ability to meet the role’s physical requirements, including regular lifting of 25–35 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass required vision acuity testing, where applicable.

Responsibilities

Follow Swagelok’s production system, including participating in daily shift-start meetings and giving or receiving shift handoff reports.
Operate and change over manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions and production schedules.
Follow quality plans and specifications.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment and other inspection tools.
Monitor machine output and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining, tooling, and process issues.
Complete preventive maintenance and routine machine care.
Recognize equipment malfunctions and coordinate or escalate repairs when needed.
Accurately document production activities and maintain manufacturing records.
Suggest process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, or safety.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
Train and mentor less experienced operators.
