About The Position

As a Level III Machine Operator at Swagelok, you will produce fluid-system components to high quality standards as part of the manufacturing team. The role is suited to an experienced machinist who can work independently, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and perform machine changeovers while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Operators work with a variety of machines in a clean, safe, modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment and are provided the tools and gauges needed for the role. The position is on second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The hourly pay range is $24.50–$34.30, with overtime compensation and a 10% shift differential for off-shift work. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is payable after the first 30 days worked, provided the employee is actively employed at the time of payout. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 30 months of machining or manufacturing experience, or current qualification as a Swagelok Level II Machine Operator.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and metal-cutting equipment.
Experience with machine setup, blueprint reading, and basic programming.
Ability to troubleshoot machining equipment.
Knowledge of machining tools, including form tools, shave tools, drills, reamers, thread rolling, cams, and gears.
Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to independently diagnose and resolve machining issues.

Responsibilities

Follow Swagelok’s production system, including participating in daily shift start-up meetings and giving or receiving shift handoff reports.
Operate and change over manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions and production schedules.
Follow quality plans and specifications; inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment and other inspection tools.
Monitor machine output for quality and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining, tooling, and process issues.
Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
Recognize equipment malfunctions and coordinate or escalate repairs when needed.
Accurately document production activities and maintain manufacturing records.
Suggest process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, or safety.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
Train and mentor less experienced operators.
