About The Position

This position is responsible for learning machine operation and ensuring the quality of the bags, following procedures and work instructions. Must be familiar with safety regulations and personal protective equipment, as well as the work environment to prevent workplace accidents. This position reports to the Conversion Supervisor, Training Department and Human Resources.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods, move around, and lift boxes weighing 25-50 lbs.
Must have personal transportation to move between locations when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Experience in inspection within the plastic industry.
Manual and analytical skills for decision-making.
Documentation skills and calculation of bags per thousand.
Proficiency in using mechanical tools.
Excellent communication skills (Leadership), as well as proficiency in Excel and the DCU Radius system.

Interpret the production order.
Understand the general aspects of the machine, including its devices and attachments.
Detect quality issues in the bags and how to correct them promptly to reduce scrap.
Perform operational functions, such as roll changes, operator reports, and all related tasks.
Keep the work area clean and organized, applying 5S principles and following the operator checklist.
Pack, close boxes, seal with tape, and properly stack finished pallets when covering a break position.
Begin training in correct pallet wrapping procedures and scrap identification.
Work as part of a team and support activities as needed by the Company.
