About The Position

The Machine Operator, 3rd shift, is responsible for maintaining all filling machines in the facility. The position is located in Johnson City, Tennessee, and works Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The operator sets up, cleans, repairs, and maintains equipment to meet production schedules; monitors machine operation and product quality; troubleshoots problems; performs and verifies maintenance and testing; and maintains activity logs. The operator may also assist in other areas as needed.

The work takes place in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility. In production areas, employees wear lab coats, hairnets, and beard guards. Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching are required.
• Wear lab coats, hairnets, and beard guards in the production area.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training as a machine operator.
• Two to three years of experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, repair, and maintain equipment to meet production schedules.
• Monitor machines during procedures to ensure they are running optimally.
• Troubleshoot problems during machine operation.
• Ensure regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
• Perform random tests to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor periodic output checks to ensure machines are producing quality products.
• Maintain activity logs.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
