Floater - 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) - $20.00/hour + $1.00 shift premium
About The Position
Atkore is seeking a Floater for the third shift, based out of Pueblo. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Floater is responsible for the quality and accurate production of fiberglass elbows. The role includes gathering shift supplies, assisting with bending preparation and processing, relieving the Bender for breaks and lunches, supporting other production tasks, performing inspections and assigned maintenance, and maintaining housekeeping in the assigned area. Within three months, the employee is expected to know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE, have zero safety incidents in the past 90 days of the evaluation date, have fewer than 15 attendance points on the evaluation date, and have no documented warnings within 90 days of the probationary period.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good math skills for quick and accurate counting, calculations, and measurements, including radius, inside and outside diameter, and length.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, handle multiple competing demands, and respond calmly and logically to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

- One year of previous shop experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all supplies are gathered for the duration of the shift.
- Assist in initiating bending, including cutting and sanding preparation, placing materials in the oven, cooling, verifying the angle, and labeling.
- Relieve the Bender for breaks and lunches.
- Assist in red striping, cutting, or swedging as directed.
- Perform final inspections of elbows for angle, label, and appearance.
- Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Shift Lead.
