About The Position

Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, and secures and maintains the materials and supplies needed for the operation. The role also supports safe, clean, and organized production areas and helps ensure materials and finished products meet established standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Stack completed products according to established procedures; cover, label, and band components or finished products when required.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift or startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
